In the spirit of reconciliation, Jesse acknowledges that he lives, works and plays on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
Jesse White is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Jesse received his BFA in Media Arts from the Alberta University of the Arts in May 2020.
Jesse's current focus and explorations take place in and throughout Calgary's communities. His practice is influenced by the diversity and history in Calgary's landscape, architecture, and individual experience. Jesse explores his landscape from a hands on perspective, working closely with small business owners, gallery's, and private collectors creating artworks where passion, labour, and personal experience combine.
